In partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), both Kroger Co. of Michigan and Meijer are distributing free N95 masks to the public as part of the government’s ongoing effort to promote community health and safety.
This initiative provides Michigan residents — including those in Lansing and surrounding communities — easy access to high-quality protective masks at no cost.

1. Kroger Stores
- Available at Kroger pharmacy locations statewide
- Each person may receive up to three free non-surgical N95 masks
- Look for the branded display near the pharmacy counter or ask a Kroger associate for help
2. Meijer Stores
- Meijer received approximately three million N95 masks for distribution
- Masks are placed near the main grocery entrance, typically by the Greeter stand
- You’ll see boxes or tables labeled for free N95 mask pickup
