At Home Care Alternatives of Lansing and Loving Hands Homecare of Eaton Rapids, we’re proud to celebrate our very own Kirk Lewis, Director of Nursing and Clinical Services, for being recognized by the Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) this month as a dedicated volunteer.
A Leader Committed to Service
In his role with Home Care Alternatives and Loving Hands, Kirk leads with compassion and expertise, ensuring high-quality clinical care for the seniors and families we serve. Beyond his professional role, Kirk donates countless hours to advocacy and community service, working to improve senior care programs across Michigan.
Kirk actively participates on:
- 🏛️ Michigan Senior Advocates Council (MSAC)
- 🏛️ Aging and Adult Services Agency Senior Advisory Committee (SAC)
- 🏛️ Ingham County Elder Persons Millage Advisory Committee
- 🏛️ IMPART Alliance Coalition and Policy Committee
- 🏌️ Planning Committees for TCOA’s Golf Outing and Annual Dinner & Auction
Each of these groups plays a vital role in ensuring older adult programs remain safe, well-funded, and efficient. Kirk’s leadership helps keep critical senior services thriving at both the state and local level.
Advocacy at the Heart of His Work
Kirk knows that advocacy is key to protecting and advancing care for older adults. His volunteer efforts focus on strengthening resources for seniors and supporting the direct care workers who serve them every day.
In Kirk’s own words:
“It has been a pleasure volunteering at TCOA and advocating for senior issues as well as advocating for direct care workers that help them. It is a subject that I am passionate about. I want to thank TCOA and organizations like them that do so much for the elderly and disabled in our community. We need everyone in the community to rally around this vulnerable segment of our society, especially in these trying times.”
